Additional information

Data on the short-term toxicity of 6-methyl-2-oxoperhydropyrimidin-4-yl urea to fish are not available. Thus the evaluation of short-term toxicity of the substance to fish is based on studies conducted with a structurally similar analogue substance, for which data is available, N,N''-(isobutylidene)diurea (CAS No. 6104-30-9) as part of a read across approach. This is in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, Annex XI, 1.5. Grouping of substance and read across approach. Further justification is given within the endpoint summary 6.1 and within the analogue justification section 13. A study following OECD guideline 203 is available for N,N''-(isobutylidene)diurea (CAS No. 6104-30-9) (BASF AG, 1986). The test was conducted with Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) in a static test system. The fish were exposed to the test substance for 96 hours. At test termination a LC50 >1000 mg/L (NOEC: 1000 mg/L) based on nominal test substance concentrations was determined.
