Additional information

Since no reliable chronic fish test is available for C12-13AS Na (CAS 1231880-35-5), in accordance to Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 Annex XI, 1.5, a read-across to another structurally related category members was conducted. Read-across data from C12-14AS Na (CAS 85586-07-8) was used. Toxicity of alkyl sulfates is dependent of the carbon chain length and the influence of the counter ion can be neglected.

In the GLP-study of Wetton 1996 conducted according to the OECD-guideline 203 with rainbow trout, a LC50-value of 3.6 mg/L is reported. Due to structural and property similarity with the tested category member, this value is considered as a reliable LC50 value for C12-13AS Na (CAS 1231880-35-5).
