Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Self ignition of the test substance was not registered until a temperature of 190 °C. The study was performed similar to EU method A.16.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
190 °C

Additional information

A study was performed to determine self ignition temperature of test substance in compliance with GLP.

Test procedure: 5 + 100 cm3 of the test substance is placed in a cylindric gabion cage within a heating oven; the temperature/time curve relating to conditions in the centre of the sample is recorded while the temperature of the oven is increased to 400 °C at a rate of 1.8°C /min.

No exothermal effect of the test substance was observed in the temperature range of 50 -190 °C.

Under the test conditions, no self ignition (exothermal reaction) was registered until a temperature of 190 °C.
