Biodegradability of Reactive Blue FC 15353 has been investigated in a test on biochemical oxygen demand after 5 days (BOD5) and in an activated sludge simulation test according to OECD guideline 303A. In the BOD5 study no degradation was observed within 5 days, and in the activated sludge simulation test the DOC removal after 71 days was 9 %. Accordingly, Reactive Blue FC 15353 is considered to be poorly biodegradable.
