Executive summary:

The determination was carried out by differential scanning calorimetry, using a procedure designed to be compatible with Method A1 Melting/Freezing Temperature of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 and Method 102 of the OECD Guidelines for Testing of Chemicals, 27 July 1995.

Instrument                  :          Mettler Toledo DSC822e Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) incorporating ThermoHaake Cooler EK45/MT.

 

Sample crucibles        :          Aluminum crucible with lid.

 

Reference crucible     :          Empty aluminum crucible with lid.

 

Test conditions           :          The test was performed in an air atmosphere.

Conclusion

The melting/freezing temperature of the test item has been determined to be 190.8 ± 0.5 °C (464.0 ± 0.5 K).
