Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
25 Jun - 6 Aug 2018
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
flask method
Water solubility:
1 003.83 mg/L
Temp.:
20.25 °C
pH:
7
Details on results:
Based on the result of the preliminary test, the solubility of the material was estimated to be between 200 mg/l and 1000 mg/l, therefore the shake flask method was chosen for the definitive test.

Since the results for Flask 1 were significantly different comparing to respective results for Flasks 2 and 3, they were discarded and the average solubility was determined taking into account Flasks 2 and 3 only. Difference between them was 8.27% and it was considered acceptable. Temperature in case of Flask 2 was 20.2 °C, for Flask 3 20.3 °C, respectively, thus the mean temperature was 20.25 °C. pH was 7 for both flasks.

Description of key information

1003.830 mg/L at 20.25 °C, pH 7 (OECD 105)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Water solubility:
1 g/L

Additional information

For the water solubility determination, flask method was used.
