Description of key information

The flammability of KGA was examined using EU Method A.10.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The flammability of KGA was examined using EU Method A.10. KGA could be ignited with a flame during the preliminary test. In contact with the ignition source KGA swelled and became black. The carbonized sample continued to burn for about 10 seconds without contact with the source but did not expand and then extinguished. Despite continued contact with the ignition source it did not burn any more. No propagation of the flame was evident.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on teh results, KGA is not "highly flammable" according to the classification criteria and is not classified.
