Description of key information
The self-ignition temperature (auto-flammability) was examined using EU Method A.16.

During this study, the self-ignition characteristics were determined. Lypholized KGA was filled into a cube and heated in an oven. The temperatures of the oven and the sample were continuously recorded while the temperature of the oven was increased to approximately 400 °C. However, KGA (2 -Keto-L-gulonic acid anhydrous) showed no exothermic reaction. Therefore, KGA is not auto-flammable according to the criteria.
