A complex residuum from the fractionation of the reaction products of 2-aminoethanol with ammonia to remove piperazine. It may contain such compounds as 2-[(2-aminoethyl)amino]ethanol, (aminoethyl)piperazine, (hydroxyethyl)piperazine.
No studies are available on toxicity to reproduction for CAS 68910-05-4. Substance is being classified as reprotoxicant because of AEEA CAS 111-41-1 as a main constituent which is already harmonised classified in reproductive toxicity Cat. 1B (GHS) (H360 Df).
Short description of key information:
The main component of CAS 68910-05-4 – AEEA CAS 111 -41 -1 caused aneurysms of the pericardial vessels in rat pups at low dose levels and impaired the fertility of the female rat at 1000 mg/kg bw/d.
According to EU Regulation No.1272/2008 CAS 68910 -05 -4 is classified as reproductive toxicant category 1B with the hazard statement H 360 Df and H362.
