The hydrolysis product neodecanoic acid was tested according to OECD 201 (1992) under GLP conditions with . The 72 -h EC50 based on growth rate was 388 mg/L (EMBSI, 2003).

The hydrolysis product hydrochloric acid (HCl) showed acutely very toxic effects due to the low pH: 72 -h EC50 = 0.492 mg/L (OECD, 2002).
