The Hydrolysis rate constant of bis(pentane-2,4-dionato-O,O')bis(propan-2-olato)titanium is estimated to be 86.0556 E-12 cm3/molecule-sec. Biodegradation in water medium :

According to EPI (Estimation Programs Interface) Suite by means of BIOWIN Linear method it is indicated that bis(pentane-2,4-dionato-O,O')bis(propan-2-olato)titanium is a readily biodegradable substance and degrades fast. Also it was estimated that the half of bis(pentane-2,4-dionato-O,O')bis(propan-2-olato)titanium is 900 hous (37.5 days) which is less than the criteria for persistence (40 days). Therefore it can be estimated that bis(pentane-2,4-dionato-O,O')bis(propan-2-olato)titaniuml is not persistent in water medium.

Biodegradation in water and sediment medium :

Bis(pentane-2,4-dionato-O,O')bis(propan-2-olato)titanium is 50% biodegradable in water in 37.5 days (half-life) indicating that it is not persistent (readily biodegradable) in water while in sediment it is 50% biodegradable in 337.5 days (half-life) indicating that it is persistent (not readily biodegradable) in sediment.

Bis(pentane-2,4-dionato-O,O')bis(propan-2-olato)titanium is 50% biodegradable in soil in 75 days (half-life) indicating that it is non persistant in soil and hence readily biodegradable as does not exceed the criteria of 120 days.

BCF value of bis(pentane-2,4-dionato-O,O')bis(propan-2-olato)titanium is estimated to be 3.162 indicating that is non bioaccumulative as does not exceed 2000.
