Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Two studies, investigating the density of the test material are available. In the first study, reported by Walker (2012), the density of the test material was determined in accordance with standardised guidelines OECD 109 and EU Method A.3. Under the conditions of the study the density of the test material was determined to be 1.05 x 10³ kg/m³ at 20.0 ± 0.5°C. In the second study, Foell & Dilts (2012) (which was provided as supporting information) the bulk density of the test material was determined in accordance with methods stipulated in the standardised guideline OECD 109. Under the conditions of the study, the bulk density of the test material was determined to be 530 kg/m³ at 22 °C.

As both performed studies were performed to an accepted standardised guidelines, and had a high standard of reporting, both studies were assigned a reliability score of 1. Walker (2012) was assigned as the key study for this endpoint as it recorded the relative density of the test material, whereas Foell & Dilts (2012), provided the bulk density of the test material, which is not a REACH endpoint.
