Additional information

One study investigating the long-term toxicity ofcarboxylic acids, C5-9, hexaesters with dipentaerythritol (CAS 67762-52-1)to earthworm is available. The GLP study was performed with Eisenia fetida according to OECD 222 (Eisner, 2013). The test substance was homogeneously mixed into artificial soil with the following nominal concentrations 62.5, 125, 500 and 1000 mg/kg dw soil. Earthworms were exposed to treated soil for four weeks. The cocoons and juvenile earthworms remained in the vessels for additional four weeks. Since no effects on reproduction and mortality were observed, the NOEC (56 d) was determined to be ≥ 1000 mg/kg dw.
