Carboxylic acids, C5-9, hexaesters with dipentaerythritol (CAS 67762-52-1) is determined to be not readily biodegradable in a read across approach according to the OECD criteria in two confirmatory GLP-Guideline studies. The substance is thus expected to be not degradable by microorganisms in both the aquatic and terrestrial environments as well, and therefore in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, column 2, 9.2.1.2 - 9.2.14, further simulation tests for water and sediment or soil biodegradation was not performed as no new results were expected.
