First-aid measures

Skin contact: Remove any contaminated clothing and wash affected area with plenty of water; if irritation persists, seek medical advice.
Eye contact: Rinse the eye with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical advice.
Inhalation: Remove the person from the source of exposure, rest and keep warm. In severe cases, seek medical advice.
Ingestion: Make the person drink plenty of water, induce vomiting and seek medical advice.

Fire-fighting measures

The product is combustible. Danger of dust explosion. Development of hazardous combustion gases or vapours possible in the event of fire.
Extinguishing media: Water, foam or powder are suitable. Prevent fire-fighting water from entering the surface water or groundwater.
Extinguishing media not to be used: Not applicable, all types suitable.
Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) : Wear suitable chemical protection clothing and self contained breathing apparatus in fire conditions.

Accidental release measures

Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.): Wear appropriate protective clothing to protect against skin contact, eye contact and respiratory
contact.

Small Spillages: Use a dry cleaning system, e.g. vacuum cleaner, or alternatively brush up spillages and collect in suitable containers (avoid
formation of dust). Thereafter flush with water or neutralising solution as required.

Large Spillages: For large spillages a vacuum cleaning system is essential, or alternatively use a vacuum truck to collect and then dispose of
material.Thereafter flush with water or neutralising solution as required.

Material deposits should not be allowed to collect on horizontal surfaces, as they may form an explosive mixture if they are suddenly released
into the atmosphere. Equipment used in dusty conditions should have a suitable electrical protection rating.

Handling and storage

Avoid generating dust. Store tightly closed in dry conditions.
Bulk Storage: Bulk storage vessels are recommended to be fitted with dust control equipment and explosion protection devices.
