The flash point of 2-MBA was determined to be 49 °C at 1013 hPa (EU Method A.9)

This study was conducted in accordance with EU Method A.9 and other internationally accepted guidelines and was GLP compliant. Therefore, this study is classified as reliable without restrictions. Also using a closed cup flash point apparatus, the supporting study determined a flash point of 47.8 °C. The supporting study was conducted under ASTM D3278-96 e1 guideline, but due to limited details on data acquisition, results, and flash point correction, the supporting study is classified as reliable with restrictions.
