Additional information

Short-term tests with freshwater species from all three trophic levels (algae, daphnia and fish) are available for the category members of the Long Chain Alcohol Esters. Organisms from all trophic levels did not show any effects up to the limit of water solubility of the tested category members and the analogue substance 2-ethylhexyl oleate (CAS: 26399-02-0) in short-term tests. Long-term testing with Daphnia magna and the analogue substance 2-ethylhexyl oleate (CAS: 26399-02-0) exhibited a NOEC (21 d) of ≥ 1 mg/L. Thus, it can be concluded that the category members of the Long Chain Alcohol Esters are not harmful to aquatic species up to the limit of water solubility.
