It should also be noted that in line with the Summary Record of the Technical Committee on the Classification and Labelling of Dangerous Substances, Meeting on Environmental Effects of Existing Chemicals, Pesticides and New Chemicals, JRC Ispra – January 25 2007, the Final Conclusion reached by the ECB was that organotin salts should be classified as R60-61 and hence based on the Committee's decision it is considered that the overriding classification for all dibutyltin substances is as follows:

The substance is therefore classified with Repro. Cat. 2; R60-61 according to Directive 67/548/EEC. According to Regulation (EC) no 1272/2008 the test substance would be classified as a Repr. 1B with Hazard statement: H360 (FD): May damage fertility or the unborn child and should be accompanied with the signal word 'Danger'.
