Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The glass transition temperature of DEA acetate has been measured to be between -56 °C and -64 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In a reliable OECD Guideline study, performed to GLP, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) was used to measure the glass transition temperature [the temperature at which the compound goes from a glass to a molten state, which is lower than the melting point] of DEA acetate. The glass transition temperature was calculated by extrapolation from the DSC curve in three experiments, giving a range of results between -56 °C and -64 °C (Brekelmans, 2010a).
