Results and discussion

Any other information on results incl. tables

500 mg of chromium oxide (moistened with water) showed no skin irritation effects with rabbits.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
not irritating
Remarks:
Migrated information Criteria used for interpretation of results: not specified
Conclusions:
No irritation/corrosion effects in rabbits could be detected after applying 500 mg of chromium(III) oxide dissolved in water.
Executive summary:

In a acute dermal irritation study (according to OECD Guideline 404, Acute Dermal Irritation/Corrosion) rabbits had been exposed to chromium(III) oxide (moistened with water). In this study chromium(III) oxide at concentrations of 500 mg was not a dermal irritant.
