Description of key information

Single values for the category or individual UVCB members are not applicable. The values for the category generally range from < 0°C to < 55°C. Indicative flash point values for gasoline (motor and aviation gasoline) are < -40°C as determined by the closed cup method. 

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The flash point of < -40°C (motor and aviation gasoline) was obtained from the CONCAWE 1992 product dossier. Additionally, the CONCAWE Category Justification Document states that the flash point for substances that comprise the gasoline naphthas category ranges from <0°C to <55°C. The method used for measurement of the flash point is EN ISO 13736.
