Additional information

Abiotic degradation is not a relevant pathway in the environmental fate of 2,3-dihydroxypropyl laurate (CAS No. 142-18-7). Since the substance is not likely to be present in the atmosphere based on its low vapour pressure (5.45 x 10E-07 Pa), significant photodegradation in air is not expected. Hydrolysis is not relevant since the substance is readily biodegradable, and is expected to be ultimately degraded through biodegradation in natural waters.
