Results and discussion

Melting / freezing point
Melting / freezing pt.:
4 °C

Any other information on results incl. tables

Supercooling was observed on both runs, indicated by a rise in temperature prior to crystallisation. The freezing point was measured by extrapolating back from the region of constant temperature on the chart recorder trace to the original curve, and the corresponding temperature read off.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The freezing point of DMBC has been determined as 4 °C.
Executive summary:

The freezing point of DMBC has been determined as 4 °C. The test was carried out in accordance with EEC Method A1.
