Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

According to Regulation (EC) No.1907/2006, Annexes IX and X, Column 2, testing on bioaccumulation in aquatic species need not be conducted if the substance has a low potential for bioaccumulation (i.e., a log Kow < 3) or if direct and indirect exposure of the aquatic compartment is unlikely. The substance has a low experimentally-determined partition coefficient (log Kow = 2.1 at20 oC), thus exhibiting a low potential for bioaccumulation. In addition, the chemical safety assessment indicated that aquatic exposures do not require further investigation; the risk characterisation ratios for surface water and sediment are below one. Therefore, in accordance with Annex I, the risks are considered controlled, and bioaccumulation in aquatic species does not require further evaluation.
