Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The melting point for hydrazine mono-nitrate (crystals) is reported to be 343.86 K (approximately 70.71°C ) at 1013 hPa. The other data available are for read-across substances such as hydrazine, hydrazine hydrate and hydrazine sulphate. The data for the chemical itself is considered to be the most relevant and reliable in reporting the melting point of hydrazine mono-nitrate. However, it is of note that the key study is for hydrazine mono-nitrate in crystal form which is stated not to be the form in which it is used. The value reported for liquid hydrazine is 2°C, for solid hydrazine sulphate the values are 245°C and 254°C and the value reported for liquid hydrazine monohydrate is -51.7°C.
