Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

In an acute toxicity test with Danio rerio, an 96h-LC50 >1.27 mg/L (geometric mean measured concentration) was observed (BASF, 140926BZ/FAZ17034, 2016).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

An acute fish toxicity was conducted with Danio rerio (zebrafish) according to OECD guideline 203 (BASF, 140926BZ/FAZ17034, 2016). This semi-static test was performed as a limit test with a nominal threshold concentration of 2.50 mg/L (loading). The test substance concentration was analytically verified via GC-MS. The measured concentrations in freshly prepared media (0 h) were 60 and 75% of the nominal values. In corresponding 24 h aged test media, the measured concentrations were 34 and 44% of the nominal values. Therefore, all effect values are based on the geometric mean measured concentrations of the test item. The tested threshold concentration of 2.50 mg/L corresponds to the geometric mean measured concentration of 1.27 mg/L. After an exposure period of 96 hours, the limit concentration of this test was found to have no lethal effects on zebrafish. Thus, the LC50 was >1.27 mg/L (based on mean measured concentration).
