The regulatory gene mutation and chromosome aberation tests conducted on RCF indicate that this material is not genotoxic. This is supported by the conclusions of the DECOS report, which states that RCF is non-genotoxic. The SCOEL report concludes that any genotoxic effects are secondary to the production of reactive oxygen species.
