Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The melting point of delta-valerolactone was consistently reported from different literature sources to be in a range of >-12.5 < -10.2 °C. These values originate from experimental studies. The range which originates from Beilstein which is a peer reviewed data base is >-12.5 < -10.33 °C . Thus a melting range of >-12.5 < -10.33 °C is regarded to be reliable for delta-valerolactone.
