- Preliminary test: Starting at 350°C, the weight of the sample decreased significantly.  At 549°C, the sample weight had decreased by 23%. After the experiment, a white residue remained in the sample container (original colour: white to off-white).  The change of the colour indicated reaction and/or decomposition of the test item.

- Main study: An endothermic peak was observed between 25°C and 175°C.  Based on the weight loss observed during the preliminary test, the endothermic effect was due to evaporation of volatile components.  An endothermic peak was observed starting at 300°C.  The endothermic effect was due to reaction and/or decomposition of the test item. After the experiment, a white to off-white residue remained in the sample container.

Conclusions:
The test item has no boiling temperature; it decomposes at temperatures > 300ºC.
Executive summary:

The study to determine the boiling point of the test item was performed according to OECD 103 / EU Method A.2, under GLP conditions. A preliminary study was conducted using a thermogravimetric analyser (TGA). Based on the results, a differential scanning calorimetry study (DSC) was performed to determine the boiling point of the test item. Reaction and/or decomposition of the test item was observed during DSC experiment at temperatures of > 300°C (> 573K). Melting and/or boiling of the test item was not observed below the temperature at which reaction and/or decomposition started. Based on this, the test item has no boiling temperature.
