Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

No specific hydrolysis study is available for the test substance, however, several studies included within this dataset contain data indicating rapid hydrolysis when the substance is placed in water. First, the solubility study by Fieseler (2016) in which additional peaks were found at the end of the solubility study which were not there at the start and second, work carried out during the ecotoxicity assays (Börschig, 2016a & b) where substance loss was detected which was not expected. During the ecotoxicity testing on daphnids, losses of test substance from solution corresponded to approximately 50% within 48 hours. The study was performed closed under static conditions for 48 hours and therefore losses were not related to volatility of the substance. Moreover, losses were not dose dependent as is often the case when losses occur due to adsorption. Almost exactly the same pattern was observed for the closed algae test where between 60 and 70% of test substance was lost from all test solutions over the study.

An approximate half-life of 48 h at 20°C can be assumed for this susbtance
