Description of key information
In a new study (Völkel, 2022) on different soil types an adsorption coefficient of Koc(ads) 155 was determined. Desorption kinetics were not measured due to the instability of the test item.
In EFSA scientific report (2020) several Koc values from literature in range from 29 to 198 are cited but due to uncertainty of derivation method critically discussed. Additionally for Captan as active ingredient in plant protection products also KOC values for degradation products are available.
