Conclusions:
The results showed that captan at 25°C has a partition coefficient Kow of 372 (S.D. = 27.2).
Executive summary:

The partition coefficient (Kow ) of captan in n-octanol and water was determined by allowing captan to equilibrate between water-saturated n-octanol and n-octanol-saturated water and measuring the concentrations of captan in the two phases by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and calculating the (Kow)
The test was carried out at two captan concentrations C = 1.9 x I0-3 mol/L and C1 = 1.9 x 10-4 mole/L, and at a n-octanol/water ration of 1:60.
The results showed that captan at 25°C has a partition coefficient of 372 (S.D. = 27.2).
