Additional information

Maleic anhydride is a combustible substance based on its chemical structure. However, the flash point is 103 degree C and the self-ignition temperature is above 400 degree C, which indicates that the ignition of vapor or solid maleic anhydride is quite difficult compared with criteria of R10 under Directive 67/548: Flammable is that the flash point ranges within 21-55 degree C.

Therefore it can be concluded that maleic anhydride is non-flammable.
