Naphtol AS-D was found to be a skin sensitizer in LLNA using DMSO as vehicle. The obtained EC3 was 0.4% (w/v).
Executive summary:

The skin sensitizing potential of Naphtol AS-D was investigated in LLNA using DMSO as vehicle.

At concentrations of 0.1, 0.2, 0.4, 1 and 5% the Stimulations indexes were 1.64, 2,41, 2.79, 5.52 and 4.71 respectively.

Naphtol AS-D was found to be a skin sensitizer. The estimated EC3 was 0.4 %.
