Remarks

According to DIN EN 14522 the lowest value of all test series (274 °C) was reduced by the deviation value based on the precision of the method (rel. 1.5% = 4.1 °C). The resulting value was rounded to the next integral number (270 °C).

Conclusions:
An auto-ignition temperature of 270 °C was determined in a reliable study conducted according to an appropriate test protocol. It was not compliant with GLP.

Description of key information

Ethoxytrimethylsilane: 270 °C (DIN 14522, Method S)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Autoflammability / Self-ignition temperature at 101 325 Pa:
270 °C

Additional information

An auto-ignition temperature of 270 °C was determined according to DIN 14522, Method S. In a supporting study an auto-ignition temperature of 280 °C was determined according to EU method A.15.
