Additional information

The endpoint “phototransformation in soil” is not a data requirement for the registered substance. However, for the sake of completeness this endpoint is covered by a short summary of the available data.

In the available study, the photodegradation of (Z)-3-(6-chloro-3-pyridylmethyl)-1,3-thiazolidin-2-ylidenecyanamide was studied on thin layers (about 2 mm) of sandy loam soil (Howe, IN, USA) according to the US-EPA, the SETAC-Europe Pesticide Assessment Guidelines and GLP. The experimental half-life (DT50) of the test substance was calculated to be 18.8 days, corresponding to a calculated environmental half-life of 74 solar summer days under the intensive conditions of Phoenix, AZ (USA).
