Additional information

Based on data for hydrazine it is expected that hydrazine mono-nitrate would be flammable when present without water. However, the substance as manufactured is a 42-45% solution of hydrazine mono-nitrate in water, which is not considered to be flammable.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Hydrazine salts have been classified under the DSD (67/548/EEC) and CLP regulation. These classifications do not include a classification for explosiveness, therefore hydrazine mono-nitrate has not been classified.

Hydrazine mono-nitrate will not be flammable with 55% water content as per the registered substance.
