Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The vapor pressure of the registration substance was determined according to OECD guideline 104 and EU Method A4. A stream of nitrogen was passed over the registration substance in such a way that the N2 became saturated with the registration substance vapor which was then collected onto a suitable absorbent trap. Measurement of the amount of substance transported by a known amount of carrier gas was used to calculate the vapour pressure at a given temperature. The average vapor pressure of the registration substance was 6.86 Pa at 50 degrees centigrade, 1.33 Pa at 35 degrees centigrade and 0.511 Pa at 23 degrees centigrade.

The average vapor pressure for the reference compound Hexachlorobenzene was 0.106 Pa at 50 degrees centigrade, 0.00822 Pa at 35 degrees centigrade and 0.00248 Pa at 23 degrees centigrade. These results are within ranges specified for each temperature in the OECD guideline.
