Description of key information
The log Pow value of Acetophenon Fraktion was determined according to the OECD method 117, resp. EU method A.8 using the HPLC method. 13 reference substances were chosen and used for correlation of the log Pow values. Two mobile phases were used for the measurement: the Methanol/Water 65/35% (v/v) phase for estimation of the log Pow values between 0.3 to 3.6 and the Methanol/Water 75/25% (v/v) phase for the estimation of the log Pow values between 3.6 to 6.2. The measurement was performed at 25 °C. Based on the major components, the log Pow of Acetophenon Fraktion was calculated as 1.486 - 6.137.

Acetophenon Fraktion consists of several constituents and thus no single log Pow value can be expected and determined. Log Pow values were determined for the five major peaks (> 5% relative area) observed in the HPLC chromatogram. The determined log Pow values for the main peaks were 1.486 (peak 1), 1.819 (peak 2), 4.084 (peak 8), 4.164 (peak 9) and 6.137 (peak16). Based on the major components, the log Pow of Acetophenon Fraktion was calculated as 1.486 ± 0.003 - 6.137 ± 0.014. The study is considered valid and reliable without restrictions.
