Description of key information

The freezing temperature of ETD was determined to be less than -25°C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

A freezing point determination was conducted as part of a package of physico-chemical testing for ETD (Huntingdon Life Sciences, 2010, Study number VHJ0011). The testing was conducted in compliance with GLP, and the freezing point determination was performed according to OECD test guideline 102 and EC Guideline method A1.

In a trial determination, ETD did not solidify as the temperature was decreased from ambient temperature down to -25°C. The sample was still liquid at this temperature, and so no further testing was required.

The freezing temperature was found to be less than -25°C.
