Description of key information

The Growth Inhibition to Algae (Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata) has been assessed according to the OECD 201 test guideline in accordance with GLP with analytical monitoring at the start and end of exposure by HPLC. The analysis demonstrated that the concentration varied from the start to end of exposure within 5% meaning that nominal concentrations were considered representative of the exposure concentration. Exposure resulted in immobilisation at 36.66 mg/l.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

EC50 for freshwater algae:
36.66 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
6.25 mg/L

Additional information

The inhibition to growth at 36.66 mg/l contributes to classification of the substance as Aquatic Chronic Cat 3.
