A photostability study was performed on WP30 powder according to ICH guideline EMEA/CPMP/ICH/279/95.
Approximately 20 mg of powder were weighed into quartz tube (triplicates). Quartz tubes were closed before exposure. Samples were placed on a climatic chamber during 5 days, and lightened with 8 cool white fluorescent lamps (18 W each) and 2 UV fluorescent lamps (18 W each). The system provided an overall illumination of approximately 10 000 lux/hour.
Each sample was compared with control samples by HPLC. 2 WP30 assays wee perfomed by replicate. Recovery compared to non stressed sample was 99 %, that means that WP30 powder is not light-sensitive.
