Description of key information

On the basis of weight of evidence, the density of the substance was determined to be 0.916-0.924

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The data provided to address the density endpoint are taken from the public domain. The published handbook entry was assigned a reliability score of 2, in accordance with the guidance document published by ECHA, May 2008, Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance and using the principle for assessing data quality as set out by Klimisch (1997), which instruct that data from a peer reviewed database where the information of the peer review process is available, may be considered reliable with restriction. The origin and quality of data from the two safety data sheets could not be assessed, the data was therefore assigned a reliability score of 4 (not assignable) using the principle for assessing data quality as set out in Klimisch (1997). The density of (R)-2,2,3-trimethylcyclopent-3-ene-1-acetaldehyde was reported as 0.916-0.924.
