Description of key information

DBHP hydrolyses in water. DBHP is completely transformed in phosphonic acid and butanol.

The reported value of t1/2 of 18 h at 25 °C is measured at pH 7.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Half-life for hydrolysis:
18 h
at the temperature of:
25 °C

Additional information

The test item degradation at 50 °C is complete for the pH 9 buffer after 2.4 hours and for the pH 4 and 7 buffers after five days.

Half life = 132 h at pH 4 and 25 °C; Half life = 18 h at pH 7 and 25 °C.
