First-aid measures

General information: If you feel unwell, seek medical advice (show the label where possible).

Description of first aid measures:

Inhalation: If dust from the material is inhaled, remove the affected person immediately to fresh air. Call a physician if symptoms develop or persist.
Skin contact: Rinse skin with water/shower. Get medical attention if irritation develops and persists.
Eye contact: Rinse with water. Get medical attention if irritation develops and persists.
Ingestion: Rinse mouth. If ingestion of a large amount does occur, call a poison control centre immediately.

Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed: Not available.

Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed: Keep victim under observation. Symptoms may be delayed.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media

Suitable extinguishing media: Water fog. Dry chemical powder. Foam. Carbon dioxide (CO2).
Unsuitable extinguishing media: Avoid water in straight hose stream as this may scatter and spread fire.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Fire may produce irritating, corrosive and/or toxic gases.

Advice for firefighters:

Special protective equipment for firefighters: Wear suitable protective equipment.
Special firefighting procedures: Use standard firefighting procedures and consider the hazards of other involved materials.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:

For non-emergency personnel:
Wear appropriate protective equipment and clothing during clean-up. Avoid inhalation of dust from the spilled material. Wear a dust mask if dust is generated above exposure limits. Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.

For emergency responders:
Not available.

Environmental precautions:
Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. Avoid release to the environment. Avoid discharge into drains, water courses or onto the ground. Contact local authorities in case of spillage to drain/aquatic environment.

Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
Extinguish all flames in the vicinity. Dike the spilled material, where this is possible. If sweeping of a contaminated area is necessary use a dust suppressant agent which does not react with the product. Sweep up or vacuum up spillage and collect in suitable container for disposal. Collect dust
using a vacuum cleaner equipped with HEPA filter. Avoid the generation of dusts during clean-up. Following product recovery, flush area with water. Prevent entry into waterways, sewer, basements or confined areas. Never return spills in original containers for re-use.

Handling and storage

Precautions for safe handling:
Avoid dust formation. Do not breathe dust from this material. Avoid contact with eyes. Avoid contact with skin. Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation at places where dust is formed. Guard against dust accumulation of this material. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face
protection.

Conditions for safe storage including any incompatibilities:
Store in a well-ventilated place. Protect against direct sunlight. Keep container tightly closed. Avoid dust formation. Guard against dust accumulation of this material. Use appropriate container to avoid environmental contamination.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Control parameters:

Occupational exposure limits:
No exposure limits noted for the ingredient(s).

Biological limit values:
No biological exposure limits noted for the ingredient(s).

Recommended monitoring procedures:

Follow standard monitoring procedures.
DNEL Not available.
PNEC Not available.
Exposure controls

Appropriate engineering controls:

Ventilation should be sufficient to effectively remove and prevent build-up of any dusts or fumes that may be generated during handling or thermal processing. Mechanical ventilation or local exhaust ventilation is required.

Individual protection measures, such as personal protective equipment:

Eye/face protection: Wear eye/face protection. Use tight fitting goggles if dust is generated.
Skin protection:
- Hand protection: Wear protective gloves.
- Other: Wear suitable protective clothing.
Respiratory protection: Wear respirator with dust filter.
Hygiene measures: When using, do not eat, drink or smoke. Wash hands before breaks and immediately after handling the product. Contaminated work clothing should not be allowed out of the workplace. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practices.
Environmental exposure controls: Not available.

Stability and reactivity

Reactivity: None under normal conditions.
Chemical stability: Material is stable under normal conditions.
Possibility of hazardous reactions: No dangerous reaction known under conditions of normal use.
Conditions to avoid: Avoid spread of dust. Avoid exposure to high temperatures or direct sunlight.
Incompatible materials Strong acids, alkalis and oxidising agents.
Hazardous decompositionproducts: No dangerous reaction known under conditions of normal use.

Disposal considerations

Waste treatment methods:

Residual waste: Dispose of in accordance with local regulations. Empty containers or liners may retain some product residues. This material and its container must be disposed of in a safe manner.
Contaminated packaging: Empty containers should be taken to an approved waste handling site for recycling or disposal.
Disposal methods/information: Dispose of contents/container in accordance with local/regional/national/international regulations.
Contract with a disposal operator licensed by the Law on Disposal and Cleaning. When an on-site wastewater treatment plant is not available, collect entire waste and then charge to a licensed industrial waste management professional with manifests for industrial waste.
