Description of key information

The short-term EC50 to fish is reported to be > 20 mg/l

The short-term EC50 to nvertebrates and algae appear to be in the region of 1 - 10 mg/l Zr

Zirconium is involved in metabolic processes in plants and animals and is not accumulative and for this reason, CLP rules on labile materials will apply.

Under environmental conditions, especially in hard water, Zr will only be sparingly soluble with formation of insoluble hydroxides and carbonates
