First-aid measures
Description of necessary first-aid measures, Most important symptoms/effects, acute and delayed:
General advice:
Product not completely tested. Take maximum precautions when handling. Take off immediately all contaminated clothing.
Inhalation:
Dust inhalation: Move to fresh air. Oxygen or artificial respiration if needed. Keep under medical surveillance. In case of problems : Hospitalise.
Skin contact: Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water.
Eye contact: Wash well-open eyes immediately, abundantly and thoroughly with water. Consult an ophthalmologist.
Ingestion: Do NOT induce vomiting. Consult a physician.
Protection of first-aiders: For any intervention, wear appropriate breathing apparatus. Protective suit
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media: Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray, Carbon dioxide (CO2), Dry powder
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Thermal decomposition giving toxic products:, Carbon oxides
Advice for firefighters: Specific methods:
Suppress gases, fumes and/or dust with water spray jet. Fire-fighting equipment must be thoroughly cleaned after use.
Special protective actions for fire-fighters: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective suit.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
Do not breathe vapours/dust. In the case of respirable dust, use self-contained breathing apparatus. Avoid contact with the skin and the eyes.
Use personal protective equipment. Evacuate non-essential staff and those not equipped with individual protection apparatus.
Environmental precautions:
Do not release into the environment. Do not let product enter drains.
Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up:
Recovery: Humidify to avoid escape of dust before packing. Shovel or sweep up. Avoid dust formation. Collect product by mechanical means. No sparking tools should be used.
Elimination: Destroy the product by incineration (in accordance with local and national regulations).
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling: Technical measures/Precautions:
Storage and handling precautions applicable to products: Solid. Dust forming. Irritant. Forming EXPLOSIVE mixtures with air (in the presence of an ignition source (Spark)). Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation at machinery and at places where dust can be generated. Provide showers, eye-baths. Provide electrical earthing of equipment and electrical equipment usable in explosive atmospheres.
Safe handling advice:
Avoid dust formation. In case of dust formation, wear a dust mask. Avoid charging as a dust shower – risk of product flammability. Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Prohibit ignition sources and contact with hot surfaces - DO NOT SMOKE. Use product only in closed system. Routine housekeeping should be instituted to ensure that dusts do not accumulate on surfaces.
Hygiene measures:
Product not completely tested. Take maximum precautions when handling.
Do not breathe vapours/dust. When using do not eat, drink or smoke.
Wash hands after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and protective equipment before entering eating areas.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Keep tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Provide electrical earthing of equipment and electrical equipment usable in
explosive atmospheres.
Incompatible products: Strong oxidizing agents
Packaging material:
Recommended: Hermetic metal packaging resistant to shocks.
Specific use(s) (End Use): None.

Respiratory protection: Low concentrations or short activity: Wear a dust mask., or, Half mask Recommended Filter type: FFP3
High concentrations or prolonged activity: Self contained Breathing Apparatus, On line apparatus
Hand protection: Impervious gloves
Eye/face protection: Safety glasses with side-shields
Skin and body protection: Waterproof suit, Rubber or plastic boots
Stability and reactivity
The product is stable under normal handling and storage conditions.
Conditions to avoid:
To avoid thermal decomposition, do not overheat. Do not overheat in the presence of oxidant
Incompatible materials to avoid: Strong oxidizing agents, Powerful reducers
Hazardous decomposition products: Thermal decomposition giving toxic products:, Carbon oxides, Metallic oxides
Disposal considerations
Waste treatment:
Disposal of product: Destroy the product by incineration (in accordance with local and national regulations).
Disposal of packaging: use a sealed packaging that can be destroyed by incineration. Destroy packaging by incineration at an
approved waste disposal site. In accordance with local and national regulations.
