Preliminary Test

After the test item was placed in the automatic sample-feeder 130 °C was entered as the expected auto-ignition temperature. The measurement was started with the pre-test program (VORB). The oven was heated and ignition trials were started 100 °C below the expected ignition temperature. Trials were continued up to 230 °C.

The test item did not ignite up to 648 °C. No auto-ignition temperature could be determine.
Executive summary:

A study was conducted according to Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 Part A.15 and DIN 51794 (2003) to determine the auto-ignition temperature of the test substance. In a preliminary test 130 °C was set as expected auto-ignition temperature. The oven was heated and measurements were started from 40 °C. Trials were continued up to 230 °C. No ingition was observed. More measurements were perfomed up to 648 °C. No ignition was observed in any of the measurements. Therefore, no main test was perfoemed. Based on the observation in the preliminary tests, the test item does not ignite up to 648 °C.
