Description of key information

In a 48-hour acute toxicity study, neonate Daphnia magna were exposed to the test item Phosphonic acid, P,P'-(1-hydroxyethylidene)bis-, compd. with 2-aminoethanol (1:?) at nominal concentrations of 0 (control) and 240 mg/L under static conditions in accordance with the OECD 202 guideline.

The test substance had no observable acute effect on Daphnia magna up to 240 mg/L in test media and under test conditions. The tested concentration of 240 mg test substance/L was equivalent to 120 mg/L as nominal concentration based on the content of all components of the test substance other than water (50.1%).
