Description of key information

According to the requirements of the regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 the biodegradability of 2-Cyanoethyl-N,N,N',N'-tetraisopropylphosphordiamidite was tested according to the OECD test guideline 301 F ”Ready Biodegradability: Manometric Respirometry Test”, and in compliance with the OECD-GLP standards (Hammesfahr U. 2018).

The mean degradation rate of dimethylamine-borane was 0 % after 28 days. Therefore, 2-Cyanoethyl-N,N,N',N'-tetraisopropylphosphordiamidite is considered to be not readily biodegradable based on ThODNH4 and ThODNO3.

In addition, to the requirements of the regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 Annex VII a hydrolysis study was conducted based on the OECD guideline 111 and in accordance with GLP principles. The half live time of 2-Cyanoethyl-N,N,N’,N’-tetraisopropylphosphordiamidite in water and acetonitrile at 22 °C was determined with 28. 6 min and a hydrolysis rate constant kobs of 0.024/min.
